They have one of the widest variety of desserts which they call Postres, and sweets which they call Dulces.

They are not shy of high-calorie treats, and everything sweet is welcomed gladly.

When you are done with the preparation process, you should put your Chocotorta dessert in the fridge for hours. However, a better hack is to freeze it so that you get the neat cake slice. 

The whole process of preparation minus the freezing should take around 20 minutes. When ready, garnish your  Chocotorta with chocolate curls or cocoa powder before freezing.

This decadent dessert has to be the fanciest Argentinian dessert I have ever seen, and that says a lot considering Argentina is the home for desserts.

Rogel Torta is beautiful and mouthwatering. Roget Torta is the traditional Argentinian wedding cake.

This is a fancy dessert sold in fancy restaurants and teahouses. It is an easy dessert made from layering thin pastry between Dulce de leche and then finishing with a layer of meringue at the top.

Dulce de leche gives this dessert a sweet, delicious, savory, and rich taste. You have the alternative of making your Dulce de leche at home or choose a store-bought one.

The thing I love most about Rogel Torta is how it looks doesn’t matter; only the taste does, but it still manages to look so yummy and elegant.

8. Chocolate Salted Caramel Tart

Anything chocolatey? Count me in. This chocolate salted caramel tart has to be among my favorite top 5 list of desserts. 

I make it more than I should.  It is delicious, simple, and a lot of fun creating these tiny babies.

I love Natillas. All the flavors of Natilla are heavenly. The perks of having an Argentinian parent were the many tortillas we enjoyed growing up. Natilla is delicious, creamy, and sweet. We used to enjoy it as it is but you can use it as cream on a cake.

My all-time favorite was the vanilla natilla. Of course, I love chocolate, but there is something about the flavor of vanilla that makes everything dreamy. Now that I am older and with my own family, I prepare this for my kids at least every weekend. They love it.

  1. Quite a number of these dessert aren’t Argentinian at all.
    You forgot the most traditional desserts, queso y dulce (Sweet potato or membrillo jelly with cheese), also called “postre vigilante”.
    Banana and dulce de leche.
    Ricotta cake, (no almond, please), postre Balcarce, Imperial Ruso, and a log list.
