Ingredients

  • 17 quail eggs
  • 2 star anise
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 18 Sichuan Peppercorns
  • 160 g Sea salt

Instructions

  • Wash the quail eggs and dry.
  • Quail eggs are soaked in salt water for one hour.
  • Heat up a pan. Add the sea salt, star anise, bay leaf, peppercorns, and cook until the salt is slightly yellow.
  • Place a layer of salt on the bottom of the baking pan, lay down the quail eggs, and then add the rest to cover the eggs.
  • Preheat the oven 160 degrees, put the quail eggs into the oven, bake for 20 minutes.
