Seafood Congee Recipe – Easy Way

Ingredients

  • 120 grams rice
  • 6 prawns
  • 15 Rings of Calamari
  • Fresh scallops 20
  • 5 gginger
  • 20 gpeas
  • 1 tspsesame seeds
  • 20 g Mushrooms
  • Appropriate amount of celery
  • Salt and white ground pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Wash the rice, add water, stir fry the shrimp heads in oil, pour the shrimp oil into the rice water, soak for more than 1 hour. (If you want to eat this in the morning, put the shrimp oil in the rice water and soak for overnight)
  • Add ginger to the rice water, turn the heat to high. After the water begins to boil, turn to low heat and stir to avoid rice sticking the bottom of the pot.
  • Whilst the rice simmers, remove the shrimp shell and the veins, prepare the calamari and fresh scallops for use.
  • After the rice has started growing, add shrimp, calamari, and fresh scallops and simmer, stirring frequently.
  • After the seafood has cooked (the shrimp will have turned pink and begun to curl), add celery, peas, and mushrooms. Cook until the vegetables begin to soften, stirring frequently.
  • Before serving, sprinkle salt and white ground pepper according to your taste.
