Steamed Egg with Minced Pork
Steamed egg is simple, comforting, and offers a delicate and silky texture that I find irresistible.
After trying my Steamed Egg recipe, I had an idea to give it a delightful twist by adding some delicious minced pork as a savory topping.

4 eggs 1/2 tsp salt for eggs 1/8 tsp salt for minced pork 1.5 times the amount of water compared to eggs 50 g minced pork 10 g green onion 1 tsp light soy sauce 1 tsp oyster sauce 1/4 tsp chicken bouillon powder option 1 tbsp cooking oil 50 ml cornstarch slurry
Prepare the eggs In a mixing bowl, crack the eggs and add a pinch of salt.
Whisk eggs with until smooth.
Gradually pour in 1.5 times the amount of warm water into the eggs while continuously stirring.
Remove the froth with a spoon.
Fill a steamer with enough water.
Carefully place the bowl of eggs on a steamer.
Place a plate on top of the egg mixture to cover it.
Cover the steamer with a lid.
Steam the eggs over medium heat for 15 minutes, or until the eggs are set and firm.
Prepare the minced pork While the eggs are steaming, heat a pan and add cooking oil. Stir-fry the minced pork until cooked.
Add green onion, light soy sauce, oyster sauce, chicken bouillon powder, and salt to the minced pork.
Pour the cornstarch slurry over the mixture and stir until the sauce thickens slightly.
Once the eggs are cooked, carefully remove the plate from the steamer and pour the cooked minced pork mixture over the steamed eggs.
